It is HEAVILY raining here in the Pacific Northwest... we never see rain this heavy... I had an interesting time yesterday going to the Women's Show... I love the PNE... so many fabulous memories there... so very many years of attending... and yesterday I got lost inside the gates of the PNE on my way to set up for the show... and... it was truly magical... pouring rain and I was driving through the whole PNE.... the places we have walked and played... always so full when I am there that you cannot move... how eery to be driving through with everything closed.. boarded up for the season and no one there... ABSOLUTELY SENSATIONALLY FABULOUS!!! When I got to my building I asked an employee where I pay and he laughed and said... 'lady, I don't know how the heck you got in here but if you didn't pay at the gate then you park for free today"... heh another bonus... and when I parked and was unpacking, another woman my age was sobbing... she said she got lost and was driving through the PNE and was so upset that she was lost... interesting, isn't it... an adventure of joy or a piece of misery in your life... reminds me again and again.. this life is a choice... what do you choose... I suggest a little ray of sunshine... :)

A friend thought she took the same drive that I did... but... probably not... and so I wrote... Oh... REALLY... did you really and truly drive as I did... the crazy woman I am... and go around little gates partially open and drive along the MIDWAY... ha ha... past the entertainment and fast food booths that usually thrive with activity and big stuffed animal wins... ha ha, girl... I didn't think ANYONE would have taken the same outrageous drive that I did... most places I didn't even think I could walk through let alone drive through... it was simply AMAZING!!!! Magical, actually in the pouring rain and totally totally empty...

Friday... leaving my home studio soon to have a drink and a chat with friends...

I am so excited about my newest creations.  A customer/friend wants a warm Ruana to travel to Ontario, and I have been playing.  I have so many cuddly things right now.... Ruanas, jackets, and of course Triangled Ruanas like the one pictured here.... I love when a customer wants something and then it just gets my creative juices flowing and I generally make a few that she will adore so that she can choose one... I am always confident that the extras will be sold immediately.. and I am usually right... I LOVE dressing people... helping women to FEEL better about themselves and their bodies... YES!!!  Lucky me :)

I am just realizing something... I don't know if there is anyone that creates like me.  I am trying so hard to think of some way to organize my chaos of my sewing room.  I have so many various materials .... silks, wools, polyesters, bamboo.. etc. etc. and so many different colours... and an absolute abundance of sizes... 20 metres of this and only .2 of that... oh my... there has to be a way... I want cubbies because I want to just stuff the material in and yet see it... I have thought of wrapping them maybe around heavy card or light wood... or... hanging them on hangers... or on racks... or or or... if you can help me at all... DO let me know... YIKES!!!!  I want to see my fabric... my husband, who is sweet, patient, and so much more organized that I would ever want to be... takes my material and folds it ever so nicely and then puts it all in laundry hampers.  The multitude of hampers are then put on the shelves he made me... BUT... I cannot find a damn thing!!!!  Oh well... chaos is a good thing, right?  It certainly is the way of this creative person... hmmmmm....

You know, I make so many truly beautiful things that it is sometimes very difficult to release them... as in sales to my much loved customers.  I fell totally in love with this piece when I created it.  It is a polyester, but, it has such a nice delicate and yet a bit irregular design.  It simply flows.  I felt thinner and just prettier in this piece for some reason.  I liked it draped and pinned on me.

Well,  a truly FAVOURITE customer wanted it right off my back.  I said... oh no... I have worn this quite a bit, love it... and it is used.  She still wanted it.  I let her purchase the piece but quite reluctantly, I admit.  WELL... I just found this same material... and I have made new pieces... one to give away, another to sell, and one to keep and cherish for myself.

A really simple piece... but, sometimes simple is the most elegant... I will post various ways to wear this on Facebook... have a look... and, please, if you have not liked me yet, come on..... become a fan <3 nbsp="" p="">
