What FUN... clay in the classrooms

Eight year olds... in the classroom... directed instruction and free play... 

Working in two classrooms today... I forgot my camera in the morning workshop... but, took photographs in this Grade 3 classroom....

Getting my hands in the clay.  I also really liked seeing the clay demonstrations.  I also really appreciated using the stamps and various tools that were supplied.

SUGGESTONS FOR CHANGES /ADDITIONS TO THIS WORKSHOP?

None!  This was really fun and interesting.  Lots of great ideas to try with students. 

Some way to be able to glaze / fire pieces later on would be lovely – even if we had to pay a bit of money for this additional step.

I am really enjoying teaching teachers pottery classes at their Professional Development Days.... I also give a great handout that they can use immediately in the classroom....
